As more reported cases of this virus are produced – many of our corporate clients have begun internal planning and service modifications for internal and external operations.  It is too soon to predict the overall social and economic impact of this medical event however; recent media sources report a significant revenue loss within the travel and entertainment industry.

On March 11th, 2020 the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo announced the end of its 2020 line up.  Fears by Houston area public health officials impacted this decision by broadcasting the “realistic possibility” that this virus may continue to spread in social settings with large numbers of the public present.

Across the nation music venues hosting typically large numbers of attendees have also cancelled their events.  The Austin based South by Southwest (SXSW) and California Coachella Music Festival will lose significant revenue as they are added to the list of closures.

We are not certain of the overall results of this virus however, there are some things that you can do to reduce the likelihood of contraction and transmission of the virus to others.
